Today's cute proposal comes from Megan W. (Orem, UT), who was also kind enough to let us make her a killer sign-in book.
It's a cute story... Enjoy!!!
Daniel and I have been dating for almost three years now... and been married for about two months :D For our two year anniversary we went out to eat at a restaurant called The Chef's Table. We had celebrated our anniversary the previous year there and had such a good time we made it a tradition! I was a little suspicious this year however, because I had picked out a ring... plus my mom had taken pictures of us before we left the house. The suspicion soon left me as we arrived at the restaurant. We enjoyed dinner talking and laughing, then he proposed the idea that we go watch a chick flick at his apartment. This suggestion was cute all by itself, but it got even better. He was so excited, as his story went, because his roommates had bought a projection screen and he was dying to try it out. We got to his apartment and walked in. The room was decorated with oodles of flowers... and there were lots of candles! My suspicion arose once again. He explained it away saying that he wanted to make our anniversary really great. (break there is your husband at the door) (ok good stuff I'm back). So there we were... he said hey we haven't watched Hitch in a really long time! How about that one? So we started to watch it. About twenty minutes in the projector went crazy! I said oh no I hope the lightbulb didn't go out already! He acted like he was trying to fix it and then all of a sudden music started playing and the screen turned into a slideshow of us! With love quotes! I was actually surprised! After the video he said- I'm going to give you three presents tonight. That was the first, it represents our past. Then he told me some memories that he'll always treasure. Then he said- I have two more presents for you! Then he went to a closet and pulled out a HUGE bouquet! He said- this is for our present. Then he told me some more things about love and recent things.... then he said okay one last present. He said- first give me a hug. While I was hugging him he reached around me and I heard a drawer open. He bent down and asked me to marry him :) And that was our story.
Thanks for sharing Megan and Daniel! Lots of happy wishes to the newlyweds!
Enjoy your weekend everyone, and keep those stories coming.
