I think marriage is great. 10 years ago I made the best decision when I said yes to Jake. He has always been the best husband .. I truly am so lucky. I know marriage isn't perfect and we all have areas to work on, but I would not trade it for anything. It's funny how much you think you know someone and then you get married, and I feel like learn something new all the time, even after 10 years!!
For our 10 year anniversary we went 5 months early to Cancun, and it was amazing. I loved every single minute about it. We had agreed to not do anything expensive when our anniversary actually came in July. Well the day came, and of course my hubby couldn't do just nothing. So he booked us a room up in Heber and borrowed two 4 wheelers from his buddy. We spent the night in Heber and then woke up and went 4 wheeling for the day. To top it off, he brought two pieces of cheesecake from the cheesecake factory and chocolate dipped strawberries!!! He surprised me, I had no idea he was doing it. He sure knows me--he was going to get me flowers/roses, but he knows I don't like them. I think they are pretty and all, but for the money, I would rather food. It tastes better than flowers :) He got it right and it was so yummy!! We had such a fun time, and our relationship grew even more!
Marriage is so amazing. I love being married and then adding children to the mix makes it even better. I never imagined life could be better than it was when I married my best friend, and then several years later we had a son and it made things even better. And now we have two children and life is perfect.
